Guns and 2010 Tax Return

I just read an email that suggests that we will have new laws concerning guns.  When we file our 2010 tax return, supposedly, we are to list each gun that we own and pay a $50 tax on it.  I am checking to see if this is true or not.  It may just be on the congress table.

But, if it is true, can you see where this is going? If we really tell Uncle Sam how many guns we have, not only will He want to get a tax each and every year for our guns, but, in the very near future He will have all the information He will need to confiscate our weapons when Congress goes liberal on gun control.  This is a gigantic step in the Democratic plan to turn our Capitalistic society in a Socialist/Communistic and gun-less society.

We must contact our state reps and become active in keeping our freedoms.  We must have gonads the next election and actually vote for someone who will be on America’s side, not the Nazi’s.

The Real Reason Obama Hides His Birth Certificate...

A Special Report By Gary DeMar, President of American Vision

Almost anyone can be president as long as they meet three, and only three, basic requirements. They must be a natural born citizen of the United States and at least 35 years old. They must also have been a resident of this country for at least the last fourteen years. Of all the things our Founders could have required, they picked only these three.

There are no requirements concerning political philosophy and knowledge of how our government works. Y ou don’t even have to have any experience. Instead, they picked citizenship. Why? “The President of the United States was to be a citizen of this country, holding up this country’s values and ideals. He had to be loyal to this country alone.” Whether Barack Obama was born in the United States is important, but even more important is for him to demonstrate his constitutional loyalty to a nation built on Christian principles. Thomas Jefferson said it well enough:

No nation has ever existed or been governed without religion. Nor can be. The Christian religion is the best religion that has been given to man and I, as Chief Magistrate of this nation, am bound to give it the sanction of my example.

President Obama has been apologizing for America in every foreign country he visits, and he does it publicly. But it’s in Muslim’s nations that he has denigrated and dismissed America’s Christian heritage most forcefully. For several years, first as a Senator and now as President, Mr. Obama has repeatedly claimed that America is not a Christian nation. On a recent presidential trip to the Muslim nation of Turkey he announced to the world that Americans “do not consider ourselves a Christian nation.” Did he ask American Christians? During a trip to the Muslim nation of Egypt, he declared that America is “one of the largest Muslim countries in the world.” The Muslim population in the United States is less than one percent while the Christian population is nearly 60 percent. What’s going on here?

Obama is a Muslim sympathizer. It's possible that if his birth certificate is released, it might reveal a Muslim connection.

I don’t know about you, but I’m a little put off by all of this and even a little frightened. The Muslim world, even if it’s only a minority of a billion radical Muslims, is terrifying. World domination is their goal, and there is no reason why we should be helping them to achieve it. So what do we do about it? While we put pressure on this administration any way we can to stop its tyrannical policies, we need to alert more Americans about President Obama’s Muslim sympathies and refute his rejection of America’s Christian history. Staff Sergeant First Class John C. Beale is Honored

When watching the news coverage of the war in Iraq, it is easy to get discouraged and think that all Americans have turned against our Soldiers.

However, what the normal media doesn't report are stories like this one...stories where real Americans come together to give their last respects and thanks to our fallen warriors.

It is stories like this that give me hope that our country is worth saving. Americans are strong. We just seem to forget that sometimes.

Please watch all of this video and give thanks to this fallen soldier and all our men and women who are serving or who have served their country.

Killed in action the week before, the body of Staff Sergeant
First Class John C. Beale was returned to Falcon Field in Peachtree City, Ga on June 11, 2009. The Henry County Police Department escorted the procession to the funeral home in McDonough , Georgia . A simple notice in local papers indicated the road route to be taken and the approximate time. This was filmed during the procession.

Obama and Faith

During his campaign, Obama made it very clear that he didn’t want any faith-based organization to receive any government funding to help those in need.

He is now proving what he said.  He is pulling funding from 5 faith-based organizations that help the homeless, the needy, and teens.

His sole purpose in removing funding is based on the faith factor.  No other consideration is needed as far as he is concerned.

To read more of this story, visit http://www.onenewsnow.com/Culture/Default.aspx?id=585064

I can understand removing government funding if a group is doing something illegal or if they are not succeeding in their purpose of helping others.

However, if a group is actually helping others and is following the law, why should the government not help them do more good just because they are faith-based?

This is reversed prejudice and I consider it a hate crime.  To ostracize one group because of their beliefs is going against our constitution.

Christians are accused of this with our beliefs against abortion and homosexuality.  However, most Christians don’t go out of their way to hurt people who have abortions or live alternative lifestyles.  Yet, we are all labeled as those who do hate crimes even if we only teach against those choices.

I believe Obama and his flunkies are going to far and our country will pay the price in the long run.

Get ready, America, for a bumpy ride…

Obama Blames the Drs for Healthcare Crisis

I was reading articles online this week about Obama's speech to the AMA. It has been reported that he was basically blaming the Doctors for the health care crisis.

While the Doctors do play a part in the process, they are not the only culprit. The way I see it is the Government has played the biggest part in our medical problems today. With their intent on getting more involved, it will become an even bigger fiasco.

The more the government tries to control the population through government programs, the more rights we lose.

Why is he blaming anybody? Blame never solved the issue. There has to be a happy medium.

I worry about where this is leading.

Let's Talk About Guns

One of the many debates across America is should Guns be banned from everyone who is not military or law enforcement.

There is a group of people who think that our country would be more safe from crime and harm if guns were to be banned. Their thinking is that if no one had guns then no one could get shot. This is a good idea in an IDEAL world.

But, do we live in an Ideal world? No.

This idea has already been tried in the District of Columbia. What is their crime rate? Has it gone down? Are there shooting murders happening still yet? Is DC safe?

I have to report that DC is not safe and their crime rate has not gone down. If anything, it has increased.

So, why didn’t this plan work?

Because the criminals don’t play by the rules. They still have their guns and can get more any time they want on the black market.

Only the law-abiding citizens actually follow this law and they were never the problem to begin with.

Now they have no means of defending themselves against crime when it happens. What are they supposed to do? Wait for the police to show up in 30 minutes. I can hear them now:

“Hey bad guy, why don’t you wait to shoot me until about 30 min from now so I can have the protection of the police and this will be a fair fight.”.

The criminal would laugh his head off and shoot him anyways.

Well, I am just a woman and I have even less chance of defending myself than a man would if it came down to a physical fight. Pepper spray only works if you can get close enough to spray it in their eyes and even then, some people are immuned to it.

Luckily, I live in South East Georgia among many rednecks and country boys. We are allowed, for now, to keep our guns.

I believe in the Constitution of the United States of America that says I have the RIGHT to Bear Arms.

I have been trained in the Military and in Law Enforcement the proper ways to maintain and fire weapons along with weapon safety. My husband and I teach these safety principles to our children.

If the Liberals ever win and our guns are forced from our hands, I just pray that we will have options to protect ourselves still yet.

Who knows…I might move to Montana where their state constitution clearly protects the right to bear arms.

I urge all who read this to become active in contacting your state reps and encourage them to protect our rights. For those of you who pray, a few prayers sent up to God can only help as well. If enough of us stand together in prayer and in Congress, we will keep our rights.

God bless…

Socialized Healthcare

As I catch glimpses of the news and read the headlines of the newspapers, I see that the Obama group is pushing for Nationalized health care.

At first glimpse, this seems like a good thing.  No one would go without health care and the cost of said care would be controlled by the government.

However, if you were to look deeper, you might see more problems with this idea than solutions.

Ask a Canadian if they like their healthcare plan.  Ask them how long does it take to schedule doctor appointments and surgery.  Find out if they like their health care provider or did they wish they could switch more readily.

Anytime our government has tried to control something, it has meant more taxes, more mistakes, and more red tape without solving the real issues.  Who is going to pay for this health care?  We are – through taxes.

This is another way for our government to take our Capitalistic freedoms away from us and create a Socialistic society.  How can we be a free country if we are controlled through Socialism?

I urge all readers to use whatever political opportunities you have to fight this change.  There has got to be a better solution that doesn’t risk our freedoms.

Your voice can be heard…

Terrorist Movies

Have you noticed how there has been a increase in the production of new movies with Islamic terrorist plots?  I have seen where the Islamic people were the bad guys and also the good guys.  Hollywood seems determined to ride this train for as long as they can.

My question is, “Are Americans feeling reassured by what they watch or are they becoming more serious about racial profiling?”

I am a Christian.  However, I do not hate the Muslim people.  I do my best to look at someone and see their actions and intentions while ignoring their color or nationality.

This is hard for me sometimes, I will admit.  But, I would want the same respect in return.  When an Islamic man looks at me, I hope he would take the time to see my good nature and good will and not see just an “Infidel”.

I fear that Hollywood is creating more problems than it is fixing.  There are good people in every race, religion and nationality.  We just need to remember that and not believe everything we see on the news or in a movie.

To all the Christians and Muslims in the world, may God’s or Allah’s peace go unto you without the use of bloodshed.

Memorial Day & Respect of the Flag

Happy Memorial Day!

I would like to thank all of our Military personnel and Veterans who have served our country and helped keep it free.

I would, also, like to point out that, here lately, every time I have been present for the Presenting of the US Flag, the only people I see showing respect by standing and placing their hands over their hearts are the Veterans.

This is a shame!

I get so upset when I see people ignoring the significance of what our Colors represent. Our flag is a continuing statement of the sacrifice our Veterans have made since the beginning of our country. When we disrespect our flag, we are spitting on the memories and sacrifice of those who suffered to keep us free.

So, I ask all who read this: PLEASE Stand and Show Respect when Old Glory is being presented. Set the example for the little ones who are watching you. When you do this you will honor a Veteran's memory.

God Bless,
Mindy Millington

The Wedding Gown That Made History

(This story came to me in an email and I think it speaks the truth that we all need to hear. Mindy)

The Wedding Gown That Made History

Lilly Friedman doesn't remember the last name of the woman who designed and sewed the wedding gown she wore when she walked down the aisle over 60 years ago. But the grandmother of seven does recall that when she first told her fiancé Ludwig that she had always dreamed of being married in a white gown he realized he had his work cut out for him.

For the tall, lanky 21-year-old who had survived hunger, disease and torture this was a different kind of challenge. How was he ever going to find such a dress in the Bergen Belsen Displaced Person's camp where they felt grateful for the clothes on their backs?
Fate would intervene in the guise of a former German pilot who walked into the food distribution center where Ludwig worked, eager to make a trade for his worthless parachute. In exchange for two pounds of coffee beans and a couple of packs of cigarettes Lilly would have her wedding gown.

For two weeks Miriam the seamstress worked under the curious eyes of her fellow DPs, carefully fashioning the six parachute panels into a simple, long sleeved gown with a rolled collar and a fitted waist that tied in the back with a bow. When the dress was completed she sewed the leftover material into a matching shirt for the groom.

A white wedding gown may have seemed like a frivolous request in the surreal environment of the camps, but for Lilly the dress symbolized the innocent, normal life she and her family had once led before the world descended into madness. Lilly and her siblings were raised in a Torah observant home in the small town of Zarica, Czechoslovakia where her father was a melamed, respected and well liked by the young yeshiva students he taught in nearby Irsheva.

He and his two sons were marked for extermination immediately upon arriving at Auschwitz . For Lilly and her sisters it was only their first stop on their long journey of persecution, which included Plashof, Neustadt, Gross Rosen and finally BergenBelsen .

Lilly Friedman and her parachute dress on display in the Bergen Belsen Museum

Four hundred people marched 15 miles in the snow to the town of Celle on January 27, 1946 to attend Lilly and Ludwig's wedding. The town synagogue, damaged and desecrated, had been lovingly renovated by the DPs with the meager materials available to them. When a Sefer Torah arrived from England they converted an old kitchen cabinet into a makeshift Aron Kodesh.

"My sisters and I lost everything - our parents, our two brothers, our homes. The most important thing was to build a new home." Six months later, Lilly's sister Ilona wore the dress when she married Max Traeger. After that came Cousin Rosie. How many brides wore Lilly's dress? "I stopped counting after 17." With the camps experiencing the highest marriage rate in the world, Lilly's gown was in great demand.

In 1948 when President Harry Truman finally permitted the 100,000 Jews who had been languishing in DP camps since the end of the war to emigrate, the gown accompanied Lilly across the ocean to America . Unable to part with her dress, it lay at the bottom of her bedroom closet for the next 50 years, "not even good enough for a garage sale. I was happy when it found such a good home."

Home was the U.S. HolocaustMemorial Museum in Washington , D.C. When Lily's niece, a volunteer, told museum officials about her aunt's dress, they immediately recognized its historical significance and displayed the gown in a specially designed showcase, guaranteed to preserve it for 500 years.

But Lilly Friedman's dress had one more journey to make. Bergen Belsen , the museum, opened its doors on October 28, 2007. The German government invited Lilly and her sisters to be their guests for the grand opening. They initially declined, but finally traveled to Hanover the following year with their children, their grandchildren and extended families to view the extraordinary exhibit created for the wedding dress made from a parachute.

Lilly's family, who were all familiar with the stories about the wedding in Celle , were eager to visit the synagogue. They found the building had been completely renovated and modernized. But when they pulled aside the handsome curtain they were astounded to find that the Aron Kodesh, made from a kitchen cabinet, had remained untouched as a testament to the profound faith of the survivors. As Lilly stood on the bimah once again she beckoned to her granddaughter, Jackie, to stand beside her where she was once a kallah. "It was an emotional trip. We cried a lot."

Two weeks later, the woman who had once stood trembling before the selective eyes of the infamous Dr. Josef Mengele returned home and witnessed the marriage of her granddaughter.

The three Lax sisters - Lilly, Ilona and Eva, who together survived Auschwitz, a forced labor camp, a death march and Bergen Belsen - have remained close and today live within walking distance of each other in Brooklyn. As mere teenagers, they managed to outwit and outlive a monstrous killing machine, then went on to marry, have children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and were ultimately honored by the country that had earmarked them for extinction.

As young brides, they had stood underneath the chuppah and recited the blessings that their ancestors had been saying for thousands of years. In doing so, they chose to honor the legacy of those who had perished by choosing life.

In Memoriam

In MEMORIAM - 63 YEARS LATER

It is now more than 60 years after the Second World War in Europe ended This e-mail is being sent as a memorial chain, in memory of the six million Jews, 20 million Russians, 10 million Christians and 1,900 Catholic priests who were murdered, massacred, raped, burned, starved and humiliated with the German and Russian peoples looking the other way!

Now, more than ever, with
Iraq, Iran, and others, claiming the Holocaust to be 'a myth,' it's imperative to make sure the world never forgets, because there are others who would like to do it again.

Obama - more Islamic Trouble

Let me begin by saying that I respect all religions and all people.

However, when a religious group's main philosophy is either I convert to their beliefs or I should die, then I have a problem with that.

I was just reading a report from OneNewsNow.com about the increase in prison recruitment for the Jihadi movement. The report is trying to identify why Obama would even put these terrorists in regular prison population and why he won't report the truth about the increase in terrorism on America's soil.

Well, what's the point in having a blog if I don't put my two cents worth in...

Obama knew what he was doing when he moved the terrorists into main prison population. It seemed to be the very first Presidential act. I believe he has an agenda and that agenda supports a non-Christian/non-Jewish platform. I wouldn't be surprised if he was happy at the increased recruitment effort.

I hope that we will all take time to pray for Obama and this country. I love my country and it is killing me to watch it quickly being taken apart one right at a time.

God Bless.

What's wrong with having babies?

When I tell people that I am pregnant with twins, they immediately ask me "How many does that make now?". When I tell them that this would be child #6 and #7, they are in awe as to why I would have that many.

I know that today's economy makes it difficult to provide for children. But, that is nothing new. There were couples during the Great Depression that had large families and everyone turned out okay.

Why do we, as a society, feel like we have to provide every comfort for our children. Do they really need to have that X-box? Why have more than one TV? Why can't they go out and work in the garden to help provide food for them to eat? Could this be what is wrong with Generation X, Y and Z?

My kids don't have a lot. But, they do have food, shelter, clothing, love and laughter. They have to use their imaginations to play because we don't purchase fancy toys for them to play with. We make sure they are educated with what is important and leave Political Correctness for the politicians to try to push on them later in life. We try to teach them how to love others in spite of their differences.

I guess I am tired of having to defend my decision to have a large family. I am doing what I feel is right Spiritually and I am doing my best by my kids. I have really great kids who have a sense of humor and they share their things with others. So, maybe I am doing something right.

God bless all mothers and those who wish they could be called such.
